History
Pontiac Grand Prix SJ
The 1969 Grand Prix SJ represented Pontiac's successful formula of combining luxury appointments with available high performance. Its long hood and distinctive split grille created an elegant appearance, while the available 428 cubic-inch V8 provided genuine muscle car acceleration. The SJ package added upgraded interior trim, special instrumentation, and performance suspension. This generation established the Grand Prix as a leader in the personal luxury coupe segment, proving buyers wanted both comfort and power.
