History
GAZ Chaika M13
Named after the Russian word for seagull, the GAZ Chaika M13 represented the pinnacle of Soviet automotive luxury from 1959. Its imposing presence, chrome-laden styling, and powerful 5.5-liter V8 engine made it the chariot of Communist Party elites and visiting dignitaries. The car featured advanced technology for its time including automatic transmission, power steering, and luxurious appointments. Production remained limited with each vehicle hand-assembled, making the Chaika a rare symbol of Soviet prestige and power.
