Peerless GT

Bernie Rodger's Peerless GT combined proven Triumph components with elegant Italian-influenced styling by Bernard Michael. The fiberglass body kept weight low while providing smooth aerodynamics. Though only 325 were built before the company folded in 1960, the Peerless demonstrated advanced engineering with front disc brakes and sophisticated suspension geometry. The marque later evolved into Warwick GT before disappearing entirely.

Extreme rarity makes finding examples difficult. Check space-frame for corrosion and previous accident damage. Fiberglass bodies can hide structural issues. Parts are largely Triumph TR3/TR4 components, which helps with maintenance.

Built in Slough from 1957-1960, the Peerless used space-frame chassis construction with fiberglass bodies. Most examples used the 1991cc Triumph TR3 engine, though some Phase II cars received the 2138cc unit. Financial difficulties ended production despite positive reviews.
