Maico 500

Maico, primarily known for motorcycles, briefly ventured into microcar production with the Model 500. It featured a two-cylinder two-stroke engine mounted in the rear and distinctive bulbous styling. The car could seat two adults and two children in surprising comfort given its tiny footprint. Poor sales led to quick discontinuation, with Maico returning to focus on motorcycles, making survivors extremely rare today.
