History
Veritas Scorpion
Founded by former BMW engineers and racing drivers, Veritas produced exclusive sports cars for wealthy enthusiasts in the immediate post-war period. The Scorpion featured a tuned BMW 328 engine producing 100 hp, mounted in a lightweight tubular chassis with independent front suspension. Each car received custom coachwork from prestigious builders like Spohn and Baur, resulting in elegant and individual designs. Performance was impressive for the era, with top speeds exceeding 160 km/h. Only about 20 Scorpions were built between 1950 and 1952 before financial difficulties forced Veritas to cease production, making them extraordinarily rare today.
