History
MG TD
The MG TD bridged pre-war and modern eras with its traditional T-Series styling mounted on a more contemporary chassis from the Y-Type saloon. Powered by the XPAG 1250cc engine with twin SU carburetors, it offered lively performance and exemplary handling that captivated American servicemen returning from Europe. Over 29,000 were built with the majority exported to the United States, establishing MG's reputation in North America and kickstarting the British sports car invasion.
