Austin A40 Devon
The Austin A40 Devon featured modern ponton styling that was revolutionary for British family cars of the era. Its 1200cc four-cylinder engine provided modest but reliable performance, while the roomy interior accommodated five passengers. The Devon was exported worldwide and became a common sight on British roads. It was succeeded by the A40 Somerset, but the Devon name became synonymous with affordable post-war British motoring.
