BSA Scout

Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA) diversified from motorcycles and weapons into car production with the Scout. Featuring front-wheel drive, which was highly unusual for the era, it was powered by a small four-cylinder engine. The Scout competed with Austin and Morris in the economy car segment but never achieved their sales volumes. BSA's car division struggled financially, and production ceased with the outbreak of WWII, never to resume.
