Bianchi S9

Edoardo Bianchi's company, famous for bicycles and motorcycles, produced automobiles from 1899 to 1939. The S9 represented their most sophisticated pre-war model, featuring a smooth inline-six engine, independent front suspension, and refined chassis dynamics. Bodies were supplied by prestigious coachbuilders or Bianchi's own factory body shop. The S9 competed with Lancia and smaller Alfa Romeos for discerning Italian customers seeking sporting character without extreme performance. Production was limited, with perhaps only a few hundred examples built before the company ceased automobile manufacturing.
