The Erskine Model 50 was Studebaker's answer to competing companion brands like Plymouth and Pontiac. It featured a small six-cylinder engine for smoothness while maintaining economy. The car offered attractive styling and Studebaker quality at a price point below the main Studebaker line, though it was eventually absorbed back into Studebaker as market conditions changed.
