Itala 51 Tipo
The Tipo 51 represented Itala's attempt to compete in the growing middle-class market with a modern, affordable car. Despite sound engineering and quality construction, it arrived too late to save the financially troubled company. Itala ceased automobile production in 1934 after failing to compete with larger manufacturers. The Tipo 51 showcased overhead valve technology and unit construction chassis.
