Doble Series E

The Doble Series E represented the pinnacle of steam car development, featuring a sophisticated flash boiler that could raise steam in under 90 seconds. Its four-cylinder compound steam engine developed 150 horsepower and massive torque, propelling the heavy sedan to 90 mph. Dobles ran nearly silently and required no gear changes, offering luxury and refinement unmatched by gasoline cars. Priced around $11,000, only about 40 Series E models were built.
