History
McLaughlin Buick Special
McLaughlin Motor Car Company was Canada's premier luxury automobile manufacturer before being absorbed into General Motors. The McLaughlin-Buick Special combined American Buick engineering with superior Canadian coachwork and finishing. Known for exceptional build quality and luxurious appointments, these vehicles were favored by Canadian government officials and wealthy businessmen. The McLaughlin name continued briefly after GM's takeover before being phased out in favor of pure Buick branding.
