Oakland Model 34

The Oakland Model 34 was one of the earliest affordable V8-powered cars in America. Its Northway V8 engine provided smooth operation though modest power output. Oakland, a General Motors division, positioned itself as a step up from Chevrolet, and the Model 34 attracted buyers seeking prestige and advanced engineering before the brand was eventually replaced by Pontiac in 1932.
